13. Sunglasses! Going For Rayban!

Being a guy in his early Forties, I never wore sunglasses when I was in my 20's or early 30's, even when they say it is important for pilots because of the glare from the Sun. For me, it is kind of irritating to have something on your eyes blocking a perfect view of something.
I do own a pair of Oakley with white glasses which I bought 10 years back to protect my eyes from flying objects during shooting at the shooting range. It was one of my coolest fashion wear at that time, I love it then, and I still love it now!

It is old now, the paint on the glasses frame came out and the glasses are scratched. I tried asking many Oakley distributors for repair but I was told to get a new one, which I can never afford now. Anyway, got that old Oakley for around RM 1,780 back in 2007!
What did I do after that? I stared at the Sun. I stared until it hurts and kept staring at it until it doesn't hurt anymore. But now, after a while, it does hurt when I try to stare at the Sun again.
Currently my eyes are not as good as when I was younger. I can't see much when it is short distance, especially at night. Thought I must be 'long-sighted'. Recent check I did at JAC'S Optometry at D'Pulze showed that I only have a minor problem with short distance reading, but have more problem with glare.

Can it be because I love to stare at the Sun before? Or working a lot with the computer at night? Or is it because I never like to wear sunglasses during my younger years?
Whatever it is, it is a good reason for me and Saliza to get a good pair of sunglasses, which we do not have for a very long time.
Which one is the best?
Everyone will have his or her own choice of branded sunglasses. But if you ask us who are involved in collectible items, it will be Rayban. We normally see collectors such as 'Joe's Mac' at Amcorp Mall P.J, collect and sell only used Rayban sunglasses!
There must be something about Rayban that collectors love!
Thus, we decided to choose Rayban as our lifetime partner sunglasses. But which model?
We love the 70's and 80's lifestyle, why not we go further back in time to the 60's ~ We go for the Rayban 3447 N Round Metal Crystal Glasses ~ Retro Style!

It has everything we need and will definitely fit in with our lifestyle!
Where can we get this cool sunglasses?
Since we are at the D'Pulze Carboot Sale every Saturday from 2 pm until 7 pm, we went looking for it there. We went to 3 different eye wear stores there in D'Pulze. We even went to 1 shop in our local small town here in Sungai Pelek, and also check the pricing in Zalora and Carousell's online listing.

Everyone needs to protect their eyes, be it from the glare of the sunlight, sharp objects, dust or even from the weary eyes of others.
Try and get the best one that suits you, good in quality and original; and hope it will last you a life time!
